The Rooster Here Crows Many Times

We have situated ourselves into the Methodist Center in Volcan at the foothills of the Baru volcano.  The air is cool which is good for sleeping at night and even though we use bunk beds, we are tired enough to make falling asleep easy.  But we have also found out that waking up is not that hard to do, because there are some roosters down the street that remind us that the sun going to rise, that the sun is rising, and that the sun has risen, which by 7am is fully illuminating this mountain town.  The roosters here do their job all too well.

They serve as an example for us.  We are all eager to do our jobs in like fashion, trying to make the best use of our time here to make a difference in the lives of the people God has priviledged us to help, whether it is providing special medical care, sharing friendships, entertaining the children at the clinic, shopping for supplies and medicines, or improving the infrastructure of the Methodist center.

Tomorrow brings a new set of challenges but the roosters will set the example early.  Maybe they will take Saturday off.
